Mindset I Resilience should be the mantra for the year...

Resilience: the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness...

Your fitness plan is hard enough to maintain. The distractions pulling you away from it need to be addressed and dealt with properly...

Tips To Master Resilience:

Feed your focus. Starve your distractions. Your reasons to continue need to be bigger than the reasons to quit. Fall in love with the hard work (really the benefits of the hard work...the outcomes). If you love it and do it for the right reasons (check your goals and your why) you are more likely to stay consistent which leads to a better lifestyle and lasting change.

Turn from misery not into it. Pressure does make diamonds, but it has to be the right pressure. “No pain no gain” sounds great, but you need to examine if what you are doing is helping you or hurting you. Sucking it up needs more examination. Seek help here.

Be accepting of the process and what you can and cannot control. Consider this strategic stress management. This will help you avoid being overwhelmed and stay in the process (process goals lead to outcome goals).

Balance the fight and the dance. Creating a healthy thought process along the way will help you keep a strong perspective as you GROW through the process. Take some time now and then to reflect on the process (create slowness for any course corrections...goal resets). Assuming your goals are strong and clear (a strong why), the proper work/rest balance is vital to your growth. Some days it will be “from the grind up” and there will be other times where you should smile and be a bit goofy (sort of a down cycle...decompression). This balance is vital.
